Mr. & Mrs. Kennedy I Wedding

He surprised her on the morning of the Wedding day with a new e-mail address. This was not just a change of last name cutsie, he blew it out of the water. From the day he had gotten down on one knee and asked her to be his forever, he had been writing e-mails that captured every day and the emotions that filled his heart. I stood behind the camera in an Indianapolis hotel holding back the tears, or just blocking my face from view with my large Nikon camera.

This is how the day started, with pure romance and butterflies. From the hotel, we moved to the wedding location, the Oak Hill Mansion on Indianapolis’ north side. It is here that the outdoor wedding and reception were held. The weather could not have been more perfect as the hour approached. Calm, cool, and collected everyone spent time laughing and enjoying their time together. The quaint and romantic ceremony led to drinks on the terrace and a party on the dance floor. Personal and vintage touches were all around and perfectly reflected the love of Andy and Carol.

Andy personally made the programs and what a great job he did.

They rented Vintage furniture pieces to use throughout the wedding day to add that extra touch of pure bliss.

As the only daughter, mama was filled with joy to share the day and the days building up to the wedding with her daughter planning every detail.

And the ceremony began. Quaint and Romantic...

 Andy’s family has this old dodge that was a great finishing touch of vintage on the evening and as you know, I fell in love with one image in particular at first glance that you saw in the teaser post.

The couple now lives in Traverse City, Michigan officially as Mr. and Mrs., beginning their life together.

Erick & Brandy I Engagement

Through the great vine, I got connected with this soon to be bride and groom. Erick is a 2012 graduate from Anderson University and Brandy is a recent, 2012 graduate from the University of Dayton. Both were heavily involved in sports. Their paths crossed a couple of years ago and the rest is history. She now has the bling and they will be married in June of 2013. As a result, we got to spend some quality time together on a hot, Indiana day in June to take some fun photos to show off the fabulous couple they are. Take a look at our very sunny Indiana afternoon...

Speaking of weddings, wedding season is among us and I have a magnificent wedding that I will be shooting in less than a month. I am beyond excited! Erick & Brandy I Coming Soon

In my short trip home to Indianapolis, I was able to squeeze in a photo shoot into my Sunday afternoon. I met up with Brandy and Erick and we talked wedding for a full two hours. June 2013, they will become man and wife, and the time leading up to that date is just exhilarating. Here is a sneak peak of our sunny, summer afternoon photo shoot.

After each photo I think I wanted her red hair more and more. Beautiful right!? A full “best of” preview will be following shortly behind, so keep your eye out for more.

On a side note, I went from Indiana, with brush fires starting on the side of highways due to the lack of rain to a drowning Florida. After hours of delays, I made it back to Florida and my view looks something like this. Welcome to the Sunshine State?

Yes, that is a road…. Here’s to facing my first Hurricane season as a Floridian! Clink* Clink*

Monday Mayhem I Narrative

Monday’s tend to be frumpy 99.9% of the time. Friday’s however, tend to be fabulous, fun days! It’s amazing how much an attitude changes within a span of four days… and this depicts it perfectly..

It my efforts of optimism, I am trial running my version of “Monday Mayhem.” My head is full of randomness and music lyrics for every sentence spoken throughout the day. So I thought I would entertain you with what passes through my crazy mind and what treasures I find throughout the week of normal life.

My goal is to turn that frump into a happy dance and turn that Monday frown upside down.

So to start my first display of Monday Mayhem… here we are…

This is an introduction to my daily life. For whatever reason, this song goes through my head at least once a day… I can’t help it. It’s like a disease

This is what I wish my car looked like. Red shells surrounding, ready to pounce when I can’t handle the dumb dumb in front of me any more. Ha. Yes, road rage at it’s finest! I pray God gives me patience every day when I am in the car. Please continue to pray for me :)



Who’s been following me at the airport!? This was me on Friday… and again this evening…

And then there was me... and as my little 7 year old friend Brice would say to me with a disgusted face... "YOU'RE WEIRD!"

AnnMarie I Portraits

To introduce the woman behind the red high heels ... Ms. AnnMarie

This girl is obsessed with a good high heel. Red high heels are a staple to any wardrobe. AnnMarie is a beautiful woman who is amazingly talented. To simply say she is an artist would not encompass her passion and abilities, no word can really. Her abilities, passion, love, diligence, creativity, and sheer brilliance can’t even cover who she is as an artist. AnnMarie is a new graduate and a new business owner. She has recently started Phos Design. She does anything graphic from wedding invitations to branding and then I should also mention, BUILD WEBSITES! That just blew your mind right!? She created her own website, Phos Design, from scratch and did it with style.

She is amazing to say the least. I have had the pleasure of working with her on the photo elements of her website. So here we are, a key element of Phos Design, the Designer, AnnMarie, herself! See her beauty for yourself!

Stunning right!? I know…and the red high heels just make it all complete. After our shoot, we were able to enjoy dinner in perfect fashion and talk about boring things like design and photography ;)

And she just so happens to be the one that will be creating my new webpage after branding for Kortni Marie Photography is complete! Something extra special to look forward too!
