Adults don't battle on the playground. Recess doesn't exist in adulthood, unfortunately. (Don't get me started on that one.) The battlefield for adulthood starts at the refrigerator. Somebody touches my diet coke and the day could go up in flames! People taking people's food, leaving witty notes, and it all begins!

So welcome to adulthood and the competition that it holds. And with that... welcome to Monday.

Monday Mayhem - - - Seeing the Good

2012 is coming to a close and 2013 is just hours away. You can look back and see the most joyous moments and the moments that made you want to poke your eye balls out. All in all, I hope 2012 was the best year yet. I hope you have found the joy in your everyday life and not misery in the morning drive to work through piles of traffic. It was a good year right!? It was a year of laughing at your own ridiculousness and feeling accomplished in even the smallest things and loving and being loved by those around you. A year of risks and believing in yourself. A year that you will always remember.

So, to 2013. Let's do this!

Bring on the joys and the trials and the tears of laughter and of sorrow. Bring on the days that will shape us into the person we need to be tomorrow. Bring it all on and may God continue to guide your path and whatever the year may bring. So, yes, Let's do this!

This weekend was the Color Run in Tampa and while I am still peeling the paint out of my ears, it was so worth it. Whoever created such an event is pure genius. Being blasted with paint makes a run much more manageable to say the least.

So on the topic of forcing my body to do what my knees hate, I couldn't help but giggle on this Monday with these images.

The Holidays are in full fledge and I am straight up loving it! The movies, the music, the atmosphere, all of it, it pure bliss. I was able to spend Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Indianapolis. To say I was overtaken by joy would be an understatement. So now, bring on the chaos that is the Christmas season.

With that... we have the Mayhem that we call Monday...

"I'm looking for Corny in my life"

And this is me in Indiana... and sometimes Florida. Cold, food and drink in hand, soaking it up :)

It's Monday and this is The way I see it...

Life is finding joy in the small things

Life is holding on to the fictional life you lead through a little black box... and realizing there will be months throughout the year where you will "lose them" and have to make due until premier season is back.

Life is dreaming and imagining in the mundane.

How else would you be able to face the day unless you can imagine yourself fighting off dragons to stay alive... little do we know we are making our way from our little cube to four stall bathroom down the hall

But a girl can dream, RIGHT!?

You have to make life fun! You have to find joy in your simple walk to the bano or you might lose your mind.

Enjoy your Monday. And if you are in a cube, show your cube walls some lovin. Don't blame them.

The average person has over 1,460 dreams each year. [A crazy statistic to wrap your mind around.] How on earth do we have that much going on in our heads when exhaustion has set in. It makes me smile and breath a sigh of relief really... To know that my brain keeps thinking, creating, and inspiring well after my head has hit the pillow and I cling to sleep to give me the energy to face the next day. In a way it gives me hope. [A strange thought I know.]

I do not want to completely stop doing or being simply because of the necessity of sleep or the presence of boredom. There is still a heart beating that has deep feeling, triggering senses and thoughts. While some dreams may not be overwhelmingly pleasant, they come from my heart and my head and who and what inspires me.

How amazing that we never stop. Keep dreaming everyone. Keep doing.

Monday, we meet again. Somehow, just in the way that life works, Monday allows the pure stupidity that engulfs our brains, to come out in our actions. By Friday we are pure geniuses! With all of that said... Here is what Monday hopefully does not hold for you, in hopes that you will make it to Friday.

I pray this wasn't you making your morning coffee this Monday... Plastic melts folks!

I feel like I am having a food crisis. Dramatic? Maybe? But seriously... I have been staring at food all weekend and struggling with what I want. Nothing "hits the spot." Whomp. Whomp.

With all of that said... I thought food would be an appropriate topic of conversation for this Monday...Bring on the Mayhem.

Determination.

It will make you or break you. But if you fight hard enough, you can become or accomplish anything your little heart is set on. After all, the best things in life don't come easy, do they? In my case, they don't. You have to fight like crazy and throw in a slick pull of the enemies hair or a nice nail to the arm. You want it!? Go get it! Don't let anything or anyone stand in your way. You are your own worst enemy. Show the world what you are made of.

Or is it really Mayhem????

I flew out of the great city of Tampa on Friday and the weather was all sunshine and summer time to be a guest at the most beautiful wedding and spend time with some of the most amazing people this world has to offer.

In the back of my head was "this terrible storm that is going to sweep over Tampa starting Sunday night.!" In the meantime, I had a flight that wasn't schedule to put me safely on the ground in Tampa until 10:38pm...

Through the panic of possibly making Atlanta my home for the night, I made it back to Tampa, safe and sound AND on time... to a little spit of rain and sunshine on Monday...

Dramatic much? And now we march forward and look forward to a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Happy Monday all (and I am jealous if you are a student that got classes canceled or an employee of a company that told you to stay home..)!
