Decor I Craft

I got creative this year in giving Christmas gifts; homemade or personalized or both! For my sister this year I made her a special piece that 'screams' that it is her! A colorful splash personalized to make it extra special.
Such a simple, yet beautiful gift.

Supplies:
    11 X 14 Canvas
Box of 48 Crayola crayons (they melt better than the off brand)
    Decal pieces
    Painters Tape
    Hot glue gun & glue
    Hair Dryer

Directions:
Use painters tape to make initials/ design that you wish to be at the center of your canvas. This is     optional, but thought it brought a personal touch. Next, remove the wrapping from the crayons to help with the melting and allows for a better presentation. Stage the crayons spaced as you wish across the canvas. Carefully begin to glue the crayons onto the canvas as you had previously staged. Warning! The crayons will melt due to the high temperature of the glue gun so work fast and make sure you are doing this on a surface that is appropriate. Once the crayons are glued as needed create an outside space for melting. You may need an extension cord for your hair dryer depending on what space is available to use. The melting of the crayons will make a mess, so beware. When the area is prepped appropriately, start to melt! This is the fun part. Hold the blow dryer around 3 inches from the crayons and let the crayons melt to your liking. Move from crayon to crayon on your canvas as needed. Finally, let it dry in full and enjoy your homemade piece of art!

Hope you enjoyed!
