Summer is in full force and having time to breathe has been a challenge. Between working full time, seeking out a job to start in September, weddings, friends, family, and photography I have every minute of my summer planned out. Fortunately, I had scheduled a weekend away to the one and only, Berne, Indiana . I had the opportunity to spend time with a very talented photographer, Amy Sprunger, and pick her brain with every detail of photography. Not only is she a photographer, but a family member, and a friend.
The weekend was packed full of photography! Kicking off the weekend with a one of a kind weekend where I learned oh so very many important lessons for my future as a photographer. I could go on for paragraphs and give all of the crazy times and perfect times of the day, but all in all I learned more than I could have asked for.
I shoot my very first wedding on September 3, 2011 and I could not be more excited about it. Now with the guidance of a phenomenal photographer and friend I feel as though I can step into that wedding and fill the role I am hired to fill.
In addition to the wedding, I also had the opportunity to assist in photographing the Miss Adams County Pageant. Again, a great experience of non-portrait photography to prepare me for my big debut!
So now, let the fun begin! Bring on the weddings and the portraits and everything else that comes my way. Amy has given me the confidence and support for me to step forward, and for that I am so incredibly grateful. Check out her work at www.amysphotography.typepad.com (and pay special attention to Kelsi and Trent's Wedding as well as the Miss Adam's County Pageant Photos)!
THANKS AMY!
Oh my you are so kind. I don't think I've ever been blogged about before. :) Kortni, I have 100% faith in you. You ROCK and I'm honored to call you my family and friend as well. I will get the images posted soon. As we speak I am going through the Miss Adams County photos.
