This is where 'real life' meets paper. The wedding day is pure bliss and gone in the blink of an eye. The countless hours spent making the day into what your eye deems as perfection were worth every minute spent, but to hold onto those memories? That is where I come into help. After the initial blog post, the bride receives this special little book to add to her coffee table (or night stand for regular looking). It holds every image for her to review. To me, this little book is priceless. It is your fairy tale on those deep pages. Smiles and love fill each page and a heart full of happiness can't help but overwhelm you. So here we are... the book of all books...
From here images may be ordered into prints to hold those memories on your new walls and the entire collection be had if you so desire to look back at those 'must have' shoes that gave you such joy to place your freshly painted toes in the afternoon of your wedding.
These moments are priceless.
I find myself flipping through again and again the pages of each bride's fairy tale with pure joy and praising God for the love he allows us to experience.
For the Mr. & Mrs. Andy Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Ty Riddle this is reality. Real life has met the paper and these memories are theirs forever. Where are your memories?
Until next time...

Kennedy Wedding I Coming Soon
Holy Romantic. That’s what I have to say about this last weekend. I flew into my hometown of Indianapolis to shoot a wedding just on the outskirts of the city for the beautiful Mrs. Carol Ann and her groom, Andy. As many of you know, I am the hopeless romantic type and when romance meets real life I melt “like a popsicle on the fourth of July” (as Darla from the “Little Rascals” would say). Boy do I have a story to tell you in the coming weeks when the editing of their beautiful images is complete! To say that I was on the verge of tears, good tears, several times throughout the day would put it mildly. The day was magical and practically flawless. With that, take a look at a single image from the romantic story of Andy and Carol, the “original Kennedy’s.”
Did you just die!? I sure did.

Blessed Weekend
This weekend I spend an amazing three days (really like 2.25, but three sounds better) in Indiana. I hadn’t slept all week prior with the excitement building up in me and was over joyed getting ready Friday morning to head into work. After a short two hour work day, a friend, who I am very thankful for, picked my jittery self up from work and drove me to the airport to catch a series of flights that put me into Indianapolis. (The photo of Indiana from the sky (the middle one) makes me think of the song "fly over states," people just don't know what they are missing in those corn fields.) Practically running off of the airplane before my scheduled landing time of 3:00pm I was greeted with hugs and squeals from my ecstatic mother. It felt wonderful to be back in Indiana for a weekend filled with many more hugs to come.

I spent an hour riding around town with my mom and little brother talking, laughing, and holding my brother’s adorable new puppy, Oakley (photos to come). I even got to take a sneak peak at his new crib come his Sophomore year of college. After an almost tearful goodbye I headed to the country to celebrate the wedding of two beautiful friends, Kelsy and Jonathan (now) Tapp. Hugs and squeals and joy overcame the air when we were all reunited for the first time in many months. Friday was a glorious reunion and Saturday was only better, getting our glam on and watching Kelsy marry her best friend left me and many others in tears throughout the day. Waterproof mascara should have been demanded! I was a hot mess throughout the day! Ha. Go figure!

To top off the whole weekend, I got to see two of my high school friends aaannnndddd spend Mother’s Day with my very own mama. From morning coffee, to Sunday gourmet meal, to rolling around in the grass in the back yard with the dogs, it was a perfectly wonderful day.
While the weekend was filled with countless tears and the goodbye’s seem to get harder and harder, the weekend brought pure joy to my heart. I am thankful for all and am blessed that God placed them all so perfectly in my life.
Now after landing at an absurd hour Sunday night/Monday morning, I am running on empty here in Tampa, but can’t help but look back and smile. What a great weekend I was given. I wouldn’t change a thing…

Reminiscing I Wedding Photography
Well we have almost made it to February! I will say, now living in sunny Florida, making it to February from November isn't nearly as painful. With spring on it's way though, that means WEDDING SEASON! First of all, as a friend, it brings great excitement in that I get to see some of my very best friends for the weekend and celebrate together. As a photographer it brings a whole new kind of jitters, excitement, and pure joy. This year I have the privilege of shooting THREE weddings! I am willing to go anywhere a bride wants me! In that, I have been reminiscing through the first wedding I did last year. My stomach fills with butterflies and I find myself wishing it was May already so that the fun could begin! Here are a few images that have been filling my eyes as I anxiously await the wedding season of 2012!
Ahhhhhh.... Weddings. They just fill my heart. To see a more full collection of this happy day click HERE. I am excited for what is ahead. Since I am a Tampa Photographer now, the next thing on my bucket list is a beach wedding. Who will be the first!? I hope you are just as excited for wedding season as I am.
If you are interested in booking a wedding (or portrait session) feel free to e-mail me at kortni.photo@gmail.com and I will happily do what I can.
Enjoy this start to the week and remember, spring is just around the corner!

Post Wedding
It has been one month since I shot my first wedding and I still smile when I think about the experience and the images that came from it. I thought I would share what the bride and groom got to take away from their special day before they even ordered a print. I sent this to their new home in Pittsburgh home. They have had it for about two weeks to figure out what images they would like to print into various sizes.
To me this is like a children's book that give you what a fairy tale day would look like. It is a hard back book that resembles a children's book in size and is something that they can hold onto forever.

The inside contains every image from their wedding day that holds hundreds of memories.
While the day is over the images still remain. This is a look at what my brides have to hold and choose what images they want in frames and mounted on their walls as reminders of such a perfect day. If you did not get a chance to look at the wedding preview on my blog click here and take a look. Or just take a second or third or tenth look just for fun. Enjoy!

Mr. & Mrs. Stang I Wedding
And so the party began, just before noon on one of those sweltering summer days in September. It was like everyone woke up that morning in Norwalk, Ohio knowing that this was a day to party, a day of celebration. Two people would be joined as one and then the toasts would erupt.
But before the cheers and the boogie went down, the beautiful bride must put on her perfect white dress and realize that all of her hopes and dreams of this day were now coming true. To say that Amanda was beautiful would be an understatement. She looked stunning in her lace dress, gemmed shoes, and dark features that made her look nothing shy of a princess.
The morning went beautifully! It was full of laughter and sheer joy as the three o'clock hour approached...
And then...
Here comes the bride....
Matt got his very first glance at his wife to be.
Their charriot awaited them.
And then the party really started! The bridal party was able to ride over to the reception hall in style and in class. The party had officially begun!
(Maid of Honor and isn't she stunning as well.... it must be in the genes)
We stopped to pose before making the grand entrance to all of the guests anxiously awaiting.
The newly pronounced Mr. & Mrs. Stang made their entrance and everyone welcomed them with a full celebration.

Instead of the traditional dollar dance the couple did a dash for cash. The loser had a punishment. Needless to say, Amanda won. No competition ;)
And they danced the night away knowing all of their dreams had come true.
I am so incredibly thankful for the two of you. You were my first wedding and will never be forgotten. Thank you for a wonderful evening and wonderful memories. I wish you two all the happiness in the world. And Matt, treat my Whooty right :)
