Gall Family I Portraits

Family togetherness just makes my heart melt. To see a family let their personalities shine through as a family is priceless. The stories that were told had me belly laughing until it hurt. There were times when  I was practically rolling on the ground in sheer laughter. That's a good photo shoot if you ask me!
To see a family in that element gives you a whole new take on life and how it exists beyond your own walls. Each family is unique in its own. At that, meet the Gall Family...

Gall Family I Coming Soon

Seeing families and siblings love on each other gives me warm fuzzies all over. To see love come out of every movement, every emotion, every glance, knowing that family is something irreplaceable, is something intangible, but speaks volumes.

Speaking of such love, meet the Gall family. Enjoy this one photo and be checking back for a full look of who they are together, as a family.

April I Instagram

God has continued to amaze me as the month of April came, was, and is now gone. I am still adjusting to life as a Floridian (and whatever that looks like) and enjoying the ride along the way.
So this is what my April looked like in a photo nutshell...

Sleep overs – Sweet friends – Attempting to tackle the never ending “To Do” List – a new home for a week – Easter candy – After work car washes – Making the official switch to Florida (Plates for my car) – Pool time – Relaxing Sunday mornings – Easter cookout – Meetings – New accessories from my Birthday – Garage Sale finds – Yummy breakfasts – Missing my college girls –  Traffic (Ha) – Elizabeth play time – Davis Island – First Craig’s List purchase, Miss Panama – Target browsing – Anna Maria Island – Attempted productivity with friends

Reflecting on such good times makes my heart smile. Now to say I am excited for May would be an understatement! Bring on the fun times and travel! WooooHoooo!
I hope your April was blessed and May is filled with great people and great times.

Shanna I Coming Soon

Today, I spent time with one beautiful high school senior, Ms. Shanna Lynn Bland. We spent several hours on USF's campus taking her senior portraits for her upcoming graduation this spring. To say she is beautiful would be an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and am anxious to show you what else I have stored on my end of the camera. Enjoy this beauty.

FLoridian I A leap of Faith

And so some time has passed since I arrived in Wesley Chapel, Florida late on November 3...

No matter what comes out of this time I have spent here in Florida, it was and is necessary for me to do this for myself. The feelings of complete terror have been washed away and filled with hope. I had my first job interview since being here (while I got called back for a second round, it simply was just not for me), bettered my photography skills, have spent most every morning job searching and tapping my toe to music of my choice, getting engaged in a great church with some solid people, running around Busch Gardens as though I am a child seeing it all for the first time, spending the weekend with a couple of college friends, and the list goes on and on... (I even got referred to as a 'Floridian,' which was fun! Ha).

While the stress of unemployment and the frustration that accompanies that feeling is still very present, I have had the overwhelming feeling of being free engulf me. Free. Freedom. Nothing in my path. Wind in my hair, free. And that has been uplifting for my soul.

And so I continue to pray and remember that God is in ultimate control. He knows the desires of my heart. He has my life story written in the most beautiful novel. He has a life for me more wonderful than I could ever imagine. God knows me better than I know myself. God is good. God is all powerful. God is on my team. I will continue to trust and glorify Him each morning I wake up, knowing with Him all things are possible.

SCP Workshop

6:00 am, Thursday morning I headed to Florida. Full of uncertainty and tears I got in the car to make the seventeen hour trip in my little Astra. Loaded to the max, I pulled in late that evening and was welcomed with warm arms.

The first part of my trip was a photography workshop on Saturday. I had been looking forward to attending this workshop for weeks. I want to be the best photographer that I can and to be the best, you must learn. I spent the entire day with Shay Cochrane and several other students both in the classroom and on site of a photo shoot.

Here are a few photos of our day in the classroom and on site...
And the 'models' are ordinary people with no modeling experience... just for your 411

Fabulous Shay...

I was able to capture these photos with next to no editing. Believe me when I say that.
And now my journey in Florida continues...
